Do you know anything about whales? You probably do, but do you REALLY? Do you know how many different species there are? Where they live? What kind of problems they face? Did you know whales are just as social and intelligent as human beings? And that their brains have parts that human brains don't have, especially in the system that deals with emotion? Did you tear up watching 'Free Willy'? This panel is for you. And even if none of the above applies to you this panel is also for you. Because whales are awesome and you'll leave this panel with a newfound appreciation with our friends in the deep blue sea.

Ladies of Power is a charity group of young women from all over North Texas. The goal is to inspire girls and women across the globe to tackle obstacles and stand up for their beliefs. They do projects to raise money to help women and children, such as the organization that funds girls in third world countries to go to school. The Ladies attend many conventions to talk about the issues many people face, especially women and minorities, in the geek social spaces with the hope to raise awareness and make things better for future generations.
