Not much happens on Tatsumiya Island, and the children go to school knowing that their lives will remain peaceful and undisturbed. But the fate of mankind is on the line, and Tatsumiya, with the giant robot Fafner, is the last line of defense against a hostile and incomprehensible enemy.
