A simple meet and greet panel. We give attendees a chance at the mic for a few minutes to be themselves.
We take the first turn of introductions, and then form a line (or take hands depending on how many people show up) to do a similar event.
It has truly been a fun jumping off point for many con goers, and it works as fun little round table to get to know one another.
I have never run this at Animefest, but at other events, it is quite well received.
