Electronics in Cosplay
Reading MAKERS
A collaborative makerspace/troubleshooting forum for those interested in using electronics in their cosplay. Come share your own projects and ask others for advice. This is a collaborative makerspace/troubleshooting forum that is open to both experienced and new cosplayers/ANYONE interested in incorporating electronics into art projects, etc. Let’s all make a little magic together; remember, there’s no such thing as a stupid question.

Not sure what to put here; I write fanfiction that's LBGTQ+, includes adult themes without being explicit, and which *hopefully* promotes the destigmatization of mental health issues whilst demonstrating why even that's problematic for pretty much everyone (I swear it's more fun to read than it sounds; my latest work in progress is titled "Loki, Dazzler, and the Hot Tub Time Machine of Doom.") I consider AnimeFest my "home" convention, having volunteered for several years in the hospitality suite/video rooms in the mid-2000's.

We will bring some of our own projects; cosplayers can bring their own projects as well and ask questions/get specific troubleshooting advice. Gary Sullivan worked in the computer industry for 22 years and has taught electronics and robotics in local public schools in both a non-profit and professional capacity. He now considers himself a designer craftsman and artist. C.E. Sullivan (badge name Jackaloki) has been a costume assistant for local film and theater venues including the Hip Pocket Theater in Fort Worth having attended Wade College and having graduated with an MFA in Arts and Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2016. She will mostly be there to moderate. We are also looking for/open to adding additional panel members who can share their own expertise. (We’re hoping to convince some old friends who we know are going to be around to participate, but since this is so last minute, we can’t include their names yet). We would like this to be a collaborative maker space where we can all help each other bring a little magic back into the world when it most needs it ;-)
